WTC Denver Crowdfunding Roundtable

7/11/2013

Title II of the JOBS Act was enacted July 10, 2013 by the Securities and Exchange Commission. As part of the increasing attention and demand for knowledge in the market, Crowd Valley partnered with the visionary team at the World Trade Center in Denver to discuss building companies in the new age.Markus and Valto spoke on the crowdfunding and peer to peer markets evolution, international benchmarks and best practices, and shared the journey the Grow VC Group has taken since its inception several years ago.

Attendees included entrepreneurs and professional investors, including asset managers and venture capital and private equity groups. Despite crowdfunding being a novel concept, there is a lot of built-up demand for knowledge and expertise to enter into the market and leverage crowdfunding. Several attendees expressed their active interest in realizing opportunities in the new market, and one even commented that the future is clearly in streamlined and efficient online models, but how to get there is a challenge.

This is also why several of the extended team are available for workshops on how to plan and navigate the market entry, and build a viable expansion of business or create knowledge to be able to leverage the new age models.

From Denver, the team will be continuing to advise the Kauffman Foundation in the innovation cluster that is Boulder, on setting their research agenda for crowdfunding and the nascent market.

You can listen back to both panels below.

How do you leverage new paradigm shifts such as crowdsourcing and crowdfunding in building your company?
